But recently, someone told me, “You’re really good at giving direction.” And something about that clicked.

The Mini Series Continues: The big holiday season has come to pass and we’re now approaching our final stretch of winter, so you’re probably thinking “spring is coming up, the sunshine will be out, let’s find someone to take portraits or family photos,” or you’re thinking “I want that fresh spring golden hour energyyy!!” Well, the first step to finding the best photographer is narrowing it down to a style you’re looking for, like something more posed and potentially in a studio or maybe something more candid in nature.

Soooo…it’s December and I am STILL stuffed from November’s events of get togethers and essentially family food competitions, with everything from my own engagement celebration (y’all I am head over barbell for my SO) to switching things up with a NEW website launch (you’ll probably have already noticed when reading this blog) it has been a crazy holiday season to say the least.

Over these last few years our world and communities have faced so many challenges on levels we never imagined. It’s paramount to check in with ourselves every so often now more than ever, whatever that may look like for you. So, today we’ll focus on self acceptance, self love and the many shapes of confidence.

In today’s blog I want to touch on the topic of why eloping can be incredibly supportive to your mental health or instead why it’s a helpful way to maintain healthy life boundaries especially when starting a new chapter with your soon-to-be spouse. Getting married often combines two families and planning a wedding is stressful, and creating boundaries surrounding this big step in your lives can also be stressful particularly if you are a caregiver, or have a tendency to try and accommodate everyone around you, BUT most importantly you both don’t have to be either of those things to other people other than yourselves.
