My Bridal Alteration Experience
When I began my bridal alteration journey, I was scared. I wasn’t sure how my wedding dress would fit, and even more so, I wasn’t sure who I could trust with something that personal. The thought of finding a seamstress who could help me feel both safe and beautiful in my gown was overwhelming. Having just moved to Arizona I was really outside of the wedding community here, but yay for google.
Finding the Right Seamstress
That’s when I found Anna, a heart-centered bridal seamstress based in Phoenix, Arizona. I discovered her completely by chance—through a thoughtful Google search. Anna’s website immediately made me feel welcomed and reassured. The most important thing that stood out right away was that she offered a Zoom consultation.
No other seamstress I found was offering that kind of accessibility. On our Zoom call, Anna was warm, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable about bridal alterations. Not gonna lie, I cried in our consult. BUT, she explained the process in a way that calmed my nerves and made me feel like I was in the best hands.
Anna’s Role on My Wedding Day
After we began working together in person, our connection deepened. Anna guided me through every step of the alteration process with care. By the time my wedding day arrived, she had become more than my seamstress. She was my bridal day-of stylist.
Yes, you read that right!! Anna came to my wedding to ensure my dress looked its absolute best in every moment. She handled all the small details I would’ve otherwise stressed about. From adjusting the train before photos to keeping everything in place before walking down the aisle, she made it all seamless (PUN intended!).
I was so grateful not to worry about my dress or whether it was photo-ready (my most important need that day) AND of course, Anna handled it all with grace and professionalism.
From Bride to Branding Photographer
After the wedding, our relationship continued to grow. We bonded over music, art, creativity, and running service-based businesses. That shared passion sparked a new opportunity: Anna asked me to shoot her branding photos for her seamstress business.
As a photographer who specializes in branding photography for creatives and small businesses, this was such a full-circle moment.
Behind the Scenes of the Branding Shoot
We began the creative process by building a mood board, going over key messaging, and listing her “must-have” shots for her website and social media. Anna shared words she wanted to embody—warmth, trust, and timeless craftsmanship.
We spent the shoot day vibing with ODEZSA blasting, snacking on pickle nachos (if you know me you know I like pickles, and so does Anna), and creating imagery that reflected her heart and brand.

This collaboration was more than just a branding session—it was a beautiful intersection of friendship, creativity, and mutual respect. I’m so proud of the images we created together, and even more honored to witness Anna’s incredible work from both sides: as a bride and as her photographer.
