Best Photoshoot Locations in Washington State | Photographer’s Top Picks
My favorite places to photograph in Washington!
These locations are not listed in any particular order. I genuinely love and appreciate every single place just as much as the next one on the list. Washington is bursting with incredible spots! From green thick forests and sandy (or rocky) beaches to breathtaking waterfalls and incredible mountain top lakes. Its epic views are truly everywhere you look, making it a photographer’s dream come true.
I have also included a geo tag if you click on the location it will bring you to a google maps location! I do not gate keep locations as I think its important to share beautiful places all over the world. But please remember, Stay on trails, respect land, and don’t litter.
Washington
Deception Pass - Whidbey Island, WA
This is a little bit of a trek in and out, but is one of the most stunning water locations in the puget sound. IN MY OPINION. I grew up not far from Whidbey island. But it was an easy trek from where I lived. We’ve camped paddled and now photographed families and lvoe in this spot. The massive incredible bridge with the god, and water all meeting together brings me joy.
Discovery park is sooo versatile, and selecting the photos to go along with this location as difficult. I’ve been here a few times with various different lighting opportuntities but it always SERVES. Whether its a golden hour evening, or an early morning fog, Discovery Park in Seattle, WA is EPIC.
Lincoln Park - West Seattle, WA
Lincoln park is 100% underrated. This is one of my go to spots for shooting family sessions! It’s fun an has nice fields for kids to play in some leaves or a beach to capture some of that ocean view. It’s rumored that you can see whales from Lincoln park. Many people chose to go to Alki instead of Lincoln park for its views of downtown Seattle, WA. But i argue that Lincoln park and its view of the islands and the ferries is even better.
Washington Park -Anacortes, WA
Washington park is near and dear to my heart as I had so many bonding moments with my dear friend in this park. I’ve photographed families, portrait and couples in this park. And they’ve always had so much love and creativity exuding from them. This park is private, and secluded out on a peninsula, but beautiful and not crowded. Now don’t go crowd it too much.
Franklin Falls- Snoqualmie Pass, WA
Franklin falls is a fun one! I would say this is one for the hikers. Although a small hike, it won’t make you sweaty for photos, and ends with gorgeous views, just like if you’d liked 10+ Miles. So many beautiful waterfalls but this one feels like one of the most photogenic in Washington.
The Fairmont Hotel -Seattle, WA
The Fairmont Hotel is a classically stunning hotel, with incredible detail but also modern elements. You don’t need to be staying there to enjoy its magnificence. It has incredible bar open to anyone (Over 21+). Theres a lovely brunch restaurant with beautiful vibes. And great photo opportunities. I’d love to add more Fairmont photos to my portfolio at some point.
Georgetown Trailer Park Mall - Seattle, WA
And of course, we end this segment with the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall. You heard me correct. TRAILER PARK MALL! its a cute little area with tiny little trailers with rotating small businesses like gifts, hair cutting, art and more! It’s a fun and colorful little spot. I’ve done portraits here to get creative, but to also express ones brand if you like color and vibes.
If you made it to the end thank you! It was fun getting too look back at all the palces I’ve photographed and had the pleasure of capturing special moents for so many around Seattle, and Washington state.
If you’d like to book a session in seattle make sure to do so ahead of time! I do not charge travel for the West side of Washington and would love to capture whatever you need in the PNW.
