Love, art, & a surprise bird encounter: ZySeer & Kai’s engagement session at the Tucson Museum of Art
Some clients just get the assignment…and ZySeer is one of those people. I’m so excited to have her back on my feed. And even more excited that this time (drum roll please…) She brought their incredible FIANCE Kai, because WOW, AND ENGAGED??? These two are straight-up art (again with the puns).
Recently engaged (cue all the happy screams and jumpies), ZySeer and Kai came to me with an idea that had Pinterest written all over it: moody, stylish photos inside an art museum. Think clean lines, bold colors, and dramatic glances in front of masterpieces. Yes. Please.
We weren’t exactly sure how to pull it off at first, but ZySeer took the lead and reached out to the Tucson Museum of Art, and honestly? BEST. MOVE. EVER. This place may not be an old-school European museum with marble busts and gold frames, but it is full of modern soul, diversity, and just enough edge to make it the perfect backdrop for these two lovebirds.
The team at the Tucson Museum of Art could not have been more welcoming. Shoutout to the staff for being kind, open, and giving us full access to explore the galleries and create. We played with light and movement, used the art as a character in the shoot, and made images that felt like their own little love exhibit. It was creative, unexpected, and completely authentic to ZySeer and Kai’s vibe.
After that, we took to the streets of Tucson for a little Caribbean-meets-Southwest street magic. Think palm trees, pops of color, textured walls, and all the desert charm the city has to offer. We almost got attacked by a mystery bird flying out of a bush (rude), but we also saw a peregrine falcon casually watching us like we were the exhibit. So…win?
This session was full of movement, laughter, deep love, and wild creativity. The energy was pure magic, and I’m still not over it.
