Who I Am & What I Stand For

Photography is a powerful medium that is used to create an impact, and I want the way that I represent my clients to make a statement not just through my lens, but in my values and through the waves I make in this industry as I continue to disrupt the rivulets of injustice wherever and whenever I can. And as a licensed therapist, this line of work has provided me with a more in depth scope on understanding my role in building an influence of diverse and equitable policies in how we photographers conduct ourselves in this trade.

What I Believe

I believe that Black Lives Matter is more than a movement, that women’s rights are human rights and that the right to choose shouldn’t have exceptions. I believe that no person in this country is illegal and diversity is more than an asset, but a strength. I believe that love within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum shouldn’t be a political discussion, but a thread of our human connection. I believe our planet is more than a place to lay concrete, but a life source. I believe ALL BODIES are BOUDOIR BODIES!! We are all incredible and every individual is beautiful inside and out. I want my work to creatively portray the beauty and emotion we all experience every day.

How I’m Committed

My clients know I’m committed to making sure that working with me is a safe space and to guarantee that this statement isn’t just a string of loosely vague words to be a better ally, but to attest that I’m someone who’s part of our community actively doing the work and understanding that discrimination is not something to simply be addressed, but to be dismantled in all aspects no matter the industry, and it won’t ever be tolerated in any capacity within my line of work. As a photographer my business is based on representing YOU and who you are, so, it is my passion and my mission to show my support, to uplift and to stand up for underrepresented communities.

You Matter!

One of the many ways I actively establish diversity, equity and inclusion in my photography is working with individuals and small businesses that are part of underrepresented communities such as but not limited to; Black creators, Indigenous producers, POC and LGBTQIA+. It is not just my responsibility but my privilege to continue the work, check myself and others in my sphere, take and hold accountability with myself and others, and SHOW UP!!

I will provide resources for those interested in participating in a variety of opportunities to help these communities. These resources may change over time depending on location. Thank you for your support and for your effort in helping dismantle the damn patriarchy!!
