LOCATION, but boudoir style!! A boudoir location can be tricky, I’ll admit, but per the mini series; location can be VITAL and worth talking about…AGAIN. For example, depending on where you are, and where I am, we can find some incredible locations or you can leave it all up to me to discover something that’ll work in our favor. Here are some location ideas and tips I often keep in mind for boudoir sessions to help you understand a little bit more about the importance of location.

Happy New Year everyone, and oh my goodness this is my first blog of 2023, my mind is still blown at how fast time flies!! Since it’s the new year and this blog is more of an introduction to something new I’ve been thinking about, I don’t wanna stretch this too long, but more wanted to get your gears turning and feel inspired to read about what’s to come in 2023. It’ll be a small peek into my world not only as a photographer, but as a business owner and honestly a client myself!!

At the beginning of this year I was slightly hesitant about how this year would go, with everything we’ve all been through since Spring of 2020 it just feels like the world’s energy has completely shifted, so every year that passes since the start of it all feels unnerving to some degree. I get the sense that most of us are just ready to move forward, but sometimes it’s not that easy.

Soooo…it’s December and I am STILL stuffed from November’s events of get togethers and essentially family food competitions, with everything from my own engagement celebration (y’all I am head over barbell for my SO) to switching things up with a NEW website launch (you’ll probably have already noticed when reading this blog) it has been a crazy holiday season to say the least.

The rain has finally arrived this season and from the looks of things won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean photoshoots are at a halt or that fun Fall activities are limited, because with rain comes new beginnings.

With Fall underway here in WA most of us are now grabbing our candles, spells or potions and cozying up in our knitted sweaters with a hot Pumpkin Spiced Latte, a sweet cider or spiced chai while watching Harry Potter or reading a good book by the fire.

Let’s jump right in, but let’s jump right into the leaves. Fall weddings is 100% my vibe. When I think of some of my favorite weddings I have ever shot, it has been the fall ones. And I tell you what, Pacific Northwest and Washington fall is EPIC.

Over these last few years our world and communities have faced so many challenges on levels we never imagined. It’s paramount to check in with ourselves every so often now more than ever, whatever that may look like for you. So, today we’ll focus on self acceptance, self love and the many shapes of confidence.

Most of the time people do boudoir sessions for themselves and their partner as a gift idea, but lately the sessions I’ve been booking are with people who aren’t coupled up or in a long term relationship. They’ve been sessions with people who are simply interested in embracing their sensual side through boudoir as an individual experience instead of doing it as something they wanna gift their partner, but instead a gift for themselves.
